LandMark White data breach - February 2019

On 06/02/2019, CUA was notified by property valuation firm LandMark White of a potential breach of their data system. This was subsequently confirmed as a confirmed as an actual breach incident on 13/02/2019.

CUA has suspended LandMark White from our panel of available valuers as we continue to investigate the full extent of this situation. At this stage we believe the information compromised is limited to first name and surnames, phone numbers and the addresses of properties being valued.  It does not include any financial information or identity documentation.

Our Financial Crimes unit has confirmed the information poses a very low threat of identity theft and that none of the data matches any current cases of fraud or fraudulent behaviour at CUA.

Protecting members’ privacy is of paramount importance to CUA, and while only a small number of members were impacted by this breach, we are extremely disappointed to see any of our members affected.

CUA is directly contacting all members impacted by this breach to ensure they are informed of this situation.
