Great Southern Bank Social Media Community guidelines
We encourage you to engage with us and we welcome your ideas, thoughts and opinions. Please read our guidelines for things to keep in mind when sharing.
To ensure all our community members feel welcome, here are some things to keep in mind when sharing.
Protect your privacy
Please don't share personal information about yourself or others on our pages. This includes your customer number, address, phone number or other personal details. If a member of our team sees any potentially sensitive personal information, we'll remove it to protect your privacy and banking security. If you need help with your personal banking, please get in touch with us via Direct Message, email eaccess@gsb.com.au or by calling 133 282.
As a member of our social media community, it's important to note that we'll NEVER ask you to update, confirm or disclose your personal banking or credit card details via email or social media. Any message of this nature is a hoax. If you receive a message which you believe is a hoax, please forward it to banking.integrity@gsb.com.au, whether you bank with us or not. If you have responded to a suspected hoax message, please get in touch with us immediately on 133 282.
Be respectful
We welcome your experiences and opinions, but it's important that your contributions are respectful to our other community members and team members. Please don't post anything that may be viewed as obscene, offensive, derogatory or malicious. We'll immediately remove any message that includes expressions of violence, bigotry, racism, hatred or profanity, and you may be excluded from posting to our channels.
Ditch the sell
Please keep your posts and comments relevant to the conversation - we may remove commercial messages including spam and any content protected by copyright or trademark.
Be constructive
We welcome positive feedback and constructive criticism. However we ask individuals and groups not to repeatedly post the same comments across multiple posts, or spam our channels. These posts divert our team from responding to other genuine customer questions or comments - if they are inappropriate or malicious, we may remove them.
Be aware we may share
We love people who love Great Southern Bank, so from time to time we may use content posted to social media to promote Great Southern Bank, or for training or other business purposes. Please read our Privacy Policy for more information. Please don’t share imagery or information about other people on our pages unless you have their permission to do so.
Content posted by individuals on our page doesn't represent the official views of Great Southern Bank.
Please remember our social media channels provide an avenue for genuine engagement from customers and to ask questions about our products, services or activities. If you don't follow these guidelines, we may contact you to flag concerns about your activity on our pages and may remove any posts which in our opinion do not adhere to these guidelines. In more serious cases (including repeated violations of these guidelines), you may be blocked from commenting on or visiting our social media pages.
We appreciate your participation and thank you for your commitment to respectful behaviour and conversations.
