How to add your Great Southern Bank card to Garmin Pay
- Open the Garmin Connect app on your mobile and select Garmin Pay.
- Select Add Card and follow the on-screen instructions to scan and add your card. If your card won't scan, you can enter it manually.
- Review and accept (if you agree) the Garmin Pay Terms and Conditions and the Great Southern Bank Terms and Conditions.
- You’ll be asked to authenticate your identity using a one-time password (OTP) sent via SMS or by calling us on 13 32 82.
- Enter the OTP and touch SUBMIT.
- Your card will be verified; this process takes approximately 5 -10 minutes. During this time, you will be unable to use Garmin Pay, however you can continue to add more cards.
- Once your card is verified, you can use it immediately.
How to pay using your Garmin wearable
Open the Garmin Pay App on your device and enter your device passcode.
Select your Great Southern Bank card by swiping through your added cards and tapping on the correct one.
Tap the face of your wearable to the card reader.

Frequently asked questions about Garmin Pay
Any Garmin device that supports Garmin Pay will be compatible and can be linked to a Great Southern Bank Debit or Credit Card. For more information about compatible devices, visit the Garmin website.
You can add up to 10 payment cards to Garmin Pay.
To remove a debit card, simply:
- Open the Garmin Connect App.
- Select More (The three horizontal dots).
- Select Garmin Pay.
- Select a Card.
- Select More Information (The three vertical dots at the top right).
- Select Remove Card.
You can use Garmin Pay anywhere that accepts contactless payments within Australia and overseas.
Yes, the transaction limits that apply to Garmin Pay are the same as your Great Southern Bank Visa Debit or Credit Card. For transactions over $100, you will be asked to enter your card's PIN.
All purchases made with Garmin Pay can be returned according to the policies of the store where you made the purchase. If you return an item paid for with Garmin Pay, the store may require you to tap your watch onto the card reader to complete the return.
Garmin Pay uses tokenisation to secure your transactions. Tokenisation is a payment security technology that replaces your card information with a digital identifier called a token. This means that payments can be made without storing your card or account details on your smartphone or wearable device.
Additionally, you’ll verify each purchase using a four-digit PIN.
You should contact us straight away on 133 282 so the card can be cancelled, and no further purchases can be made.
You should also delete or suspend the lost or stolen card from Garmin Pay.
To remove the card, simply follow these steps:
- Open the Garmin Connect App.
- Select the Garmin Pay option.
- Select the Card that you wish to remove.
- Select “Remove Card”.
- Confirm deletion when requested.
If your device is lost or stolen, you can attempt to use Garmin’s Find My Device. You can do this by opening the Garmin Connect App, navigating to the relevant device and then selecting the Find My Device option.
We recommend removing or suspending your card from the device’s wallet remotely, while you look for your device. To do this, open the Garmin Connect App, navigate to Garmin Pay and select the relevant cards. You can then choose to suspend the card or remove it from your device.
You will still be able to use your physical Great Southern Bank Visa Debit Card or Credit Card.
*A fee rebate will be applied to your Everyday Edge Account on the first day of the next calendar month for all Great Southern Bank Visa Debit International Transaction Fees and Great Southern Bank Overseas ATM Cash Withdrawal Fees debited during the current calendar month if, prior to the last day of that calendar month: A. You receive deposits totalling $2,000 or more by electronic transfer (excluding telegraphic transfer) from a non-Great Southern Bank account into your Everyday Edge Account; and B. At least 5 Visa Debit card purchases have been processed from your Everyday Edge Account and are not in pending status (excludes ATM withdrawals, eftpos cash out, balance enquiries and Bank@Post transactions). International non-Great Southern Bank fees may apply. Excludes eftpos Debit Card international transaction fees.
